New Student Registration - Students & families who will be new to Deer Meadow are welcome to come into the office to complete the new student registration process. Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate, immunizations, two proofs of residency, any school records you may have, or any relevant medical information.

Returning Student Registration - Registration for the 2026-2027 school year for returning students is NOW OPEN! You can access your Skyward Account to begin the registration process HERE.

School Calendar - You can access the Greencastle Community School Corporation Calendar HERE or by going to our website www.greencastle.k12.in.us. I’ve listed a few of the important dates below. 

Meet the Teacher Night - Meet the Teacher Night for all Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students will be August 3, 2026 from 4:30 - 6:00 PM. This will be a great opportunity for students and families to meet the teacher, visit the classroom, and drop off school supplies.

School Hours - For Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade the doors will open at at 8:30 on Mondays with the tardy bell ringing at 8:50. On Tuesday - Thursday doors will open at 7:50 with the tardy bell ringing at 8:10. We will dismiss at 2:55 Monday - Friday. Full Day Preschool will be from 8:00 - 2:30 Monday-Friday. Half Day AM Preschool will be from 8:00-10:30. Half Day PM Preschool will be from 12:00-2:30

Teachers- After you complete the registration process you will be able to see your child’s assigned teacher. Please keep in mind that we may need to make some adjustments as you work to balance class sizes before school starts. 

Arrival & Dismissal Guide - Please see the arrival & dismissal guide posted below. Vehicles should enter the parking lot from the south-east entrance, turn north into the parking lot and form two lines. From 2:00-2:40 the outside lane is reserve

Roofing Project - We are excited to get a new roof at Deer Meadow! This project is starting soon! Please be cautious in the gym parking lot, as they will be storing materials there.

School Transportation - If you are interested in your child riding the bus to and from school you should indicate this during the enrollment/registration process. If you need to make changes please call the Transportation Department at 765-653-6840. Parents who have indicated that their child will be riding a school bus will be notified the week prior to school starting by phone & ParentSquare regarding pick-up/drop-off the information.

Parent Square - GCSC partners with Parent Square to streamline our communication with families! Parent Square is a simple and safe way to connect and communicate. Please register now so you can: customize email, text and app notifications, RSVP for classroom/school activities, sign permission slips, and securely receive important student documents. Preschool Information - We have a limited number of preschool seats available for the 2026-2027 school year. Call the office if you are interested in our program. Tuition for August is due August 7th, an envelope will go home with your child to put your payment in. You can also pay online, please follow the directions outlined in our Preschool Handbook. 

Health Care & Medication Reminders - Please be sure to document any health care information during the registration process. If your child will be taking medication at school, please plan to bring that medication in the original prescription bottle on August 4th from 7:30 - 12:00 or 3:30 - 6:30. Attention Preschool & Kindergarten Parents - Accidents happen! Especially at the beginning of the school year, please back an extra pair of clothes and underwear in your child’s bookbag. Kindergarten Parents - If your child is not potty trained you will need to contact the Principal at bnoll@greencastle.k12.in.us to develop a Health Care Plan prior to the start of the school year. Food Services - GCSC partners with Chartwells to provide healthy breakfast and lunch meals for our students, click HERE to see our menus. Your child may qualify for free or reduced meal prices, click HERE for information on the application process. You can add money to your child’s lunch account by logging into Skyward - select your child’s name in the top left corner under Family Access, select Food Service on the left, select Make a Payment in the top/middle, this will redirect you to the Greencastle CSC Web Store, you will be able to add a one-time payment, or sign up for automatic payments.
