Tomorrow, Wednesday, August 5, is the first day of the 2026–2027 school year! We are so excited to welcome our students back and begin another wonderful year together. Please review these important reminders to help our first day run safely and smoothly.
Arrival Reminders
It is helpful for students to begin using their typical form of transportation from the very first day.
For our car-rider families, we encourage you to take pictures, give hugs, and say your goodbyes at home before leaving for school. Please use the car-rider line rather than parking and walking your child to the building. If you need to park and walk for any reason, you must use the designated crosswalk.
For the safety of all students and staff, parents and guardians will not be permitted to enter the school building or walk their children to their classrooms. Our staff members will be ready to greet students and help them get safely to class!
School Hours
Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade
- Mondays: Doors open at 8:30 a.m.; the tardy bell rings at 8:50 a.m.
- Tuesdays–Fridays: Doors open at 7:50 a.m.; the tardy bell rings at 8:10 a.m.
- Dismissal is at 2:55 p.m. Monday–Friday.
Preschool
- Full-Day Preschool: 8:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
- Half-Day Morning Preschool: 8:00–10:30 a.m.
- Half-Day Afternoon Preschool: 12:00–2:30 p.m.
Arrival and Dismissal Guide
Please review the arrival and dismissal guide posted below. Vehicles should enter the parking lot through the southeast entrance, turn north into the parking lot, and form two lines. From 2:00–2:40 p.m., the outside lane is reserved and should remain clear. Please follow all posted signs and staff directions.

To add money to your child’s meal account, log in to Skyward and follow these steps:
- Select your child’s name in the upper-left corner under Family Access.
- Select Food Service from the menu on the left.
- Select Make a Payment near the top of the page.
- You will be redirected to the Greencastle CSC Web Store, where you can make a one-time payment or enroll in automatic payments.
